Happy House

Whilst this hilltop house had been owned for a long time by the family it needed a radical rethink. This is always the best news for me. Situated at a weird angle in the land the existing gardens were extremely uncomfortable. None of the views took in the wonderfully rolling hills, resulting in a discomfiting experience. We all agreed to rip the lot out and start again. The images here are of an entirely newly build garden just a matter of months after planting. We built many new drystone and lime mortared walls, a pool and poolhouse, formal gardens, vegetable gardens, orchards, meadows and the new story is just beginning.
