Bronze Age Garden

A continuous history

ENGLAND

This site has been occupied since the Bronze Age and still has a round barrow- an ancient burial site- in the land. We were invited to create a masterplan for the entire estate. We subsequently built all the dry stone walled gardens. We created and installed the infrastructure of drives and routeways, both formal and informal alongside all the cobbled paths. For the intelligent retention of rainwater from the roofs we created a lake that also acts as a focal point in the landscape. We planted substantial orchards and oversaw the layout of all the principal trees and features. We also designed and made wrought iron gates to a high standard. The final planting herbaceous was handed to a different designer.
