This elegant former William & Mary period rectory on an ancient site has been sensitively modernised. As there were no gardens we created a masterplan and have been steadily executing it over a number of years. Now formal lawns leading to a ha-ha take in the sweeping views. Below two magnificent Walnut trees is a jewelled ‘meadow’ filled with camassias, alliums, narcissi and tulips. The barn has been converted as a games complex with a lush garden surrounding the pool. The relationship to the Church and sweeping views are second to none and are about to be further enhanced by the next phase of work, a formal vegetable garden, orchards, nutteries and some magnificent hand wrought entrance gates.
