The Laurent-Perrier Garden was inspired by the journey of life we are all obliged to undertake. Strong sheer hedges enclosed the garden. Candle-shaped fastigiated oak trees complemented the fractal circular sculpture that created a series of gates. Pathways created from Travertine marble on concrete plinths of varying heights made different routes through the planting. Echoing the ups and downs through life’s shifting and unpredictable moments. The planting was soft and delicate in muted colours with many umbellifers, including some new to the show. The garden was awarded a Gold medal.
