Creating a landscape at 6000ft up in the Rift Valley as part of a Black Rhino Conservation project was always going to be unique. The entire process was absorbing and fascinating both culturally and creatively. By the time we got to the end of it we had experienced so much it felt right to make an anthology of the process for our client and our studio. Making the book became a project in itself. The Coup de Grace was finding the Ugandan bark cloth that we used for the binding. It is usually used as winding sheets for burials but we felt it was perfect for our purpose!
